cosmetics
The last thing you put on and the first thing you take off. Following this principle will contribute to the longevity of your jewelry. It is best to avoid intensive contact with cosmetics, lotions or perfume, as the chemicals can dull the shine of the jewelry more quickly.
care
If you own a piece of jewelry from the Sepiah Collection that is gold plated or silver, please make sure to remove the jewelry before washing your hands, doing the dishes or doing any other house or garden work. The alloy could otherwise suffer. Please be particularly careful when handling fruit, as the material of the jewelry can discolour through direct contact with acid. Take off your jewelry when you exercise, shower, bathe, or swim in chlorine or salt water.

Gold-plated jewelery is best cleaned with clear water and a soft cloth without rubbing it too hard. If the gold plating on your piece of jewelry has worn off after a while, you can have Sepiah refresh it at any time.

storage
Real jewelry should be stored away from direct light, dust and humidity. Jewelry boxes with padded individual compartments are suitable so that the individual pieces of jewelry do not scratch each other. To prevent or delay the oxidation of silver jewelry, the jewelry can be stored in an airtight bag with a small piece of aluminum foil.
cleaning gold
Gold jewelry is relatively easy to care for if handled with care. Gold jewelery is best cleaned with warm water and plenty of washing-up liquid or mild soap. Then it is rinsed under running lukewarm water and dried with a cotton cloth. A special shine can be achieved with a cloth made of wool or soft leather.
cleaning silver
Silver jewelry can darken over time. Cleaning is comparatively easy and removes the black patina. There are different care products on the market with which silver can shine again. Silver cleaning cloths, immersion baths, soaps or cleaning pastes are suitable. The shine can also be restored with home remedies. Place a sheet of aluminum foil in a heat-resistant bowl. Some table salt is added and the vessel is filled with hot water until the jewelry is covered. The chemical reaction ensures shiny metal in just a few minutes. Then rinse well and don't forget to dry it off.
