Carla Margrave

Founder

The two founders are concerned with art, painting, sculpture, design, experimental archeology and living with nature, but also dealing with future life on this planet. Living in the Alps, her longing and fascination for the distant sea and the life forms in its depths is all the greater.

Ernst Bierling, goldsmith and freelance artist with Carla Margraf, sculptor and world traveler, run the SEPIAH label together. You give this content a framework and a field of action to create awareness in favor of marine protection and the careful handling of life.

It is the greatest concern of both of them to close the circle: to live and increase participation, responsibility and love for our blue planet. Attention to the protection of the sea is the intention for the SEPIAH label.

Creativity and skill characterize our style. In addition, we always work with a focus on sustainability. For example with 100% recycled silver and gold

Lucky coincidence with integrated sustainability

Jewelry making is not all that moves us. Some objects stand as works of art in their own right, while others are made wearable with great attention to detail

Working directly in the material without lengthy planning is always the focus of our creative process

On the beaches of the world we always find objects that inspire us. For example, a skeleton of cuttlefish, sea urchins, algae or coral
